West Ham United are looking to challenge for a place in the Europa League this season and co-owner David Gold has spoken about the valuable asset which has been provided to manager Slaven Bilic to achieve their goal.
Writing on the clubs official website, Gold revealed his happiness about the overall strength of the current squad, which he feels will be valuable for Bilic going forward.
Gold highlighted that this will benefit the team, saying, “We are now getting to a situation where we have international experience and quality on the bench, which is a hugely valuable asset for the manager. The performances in recent weeks have displayed that strength in depth.”
The experienced and talented duo of Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass were purchased during the January transfer window to strengthen the squad.
The Hammers have since shown a marked improvement in their performances during the past two months after a sluggish start to the campaign.
