Lyon manager admits keeping Arsenal target will be difficult

Lyon manager Bruno Genesio has taken the time to speak about the future of star striker Alexandre Lacazette. Speaking to Telefoot (quotes from the Liverpool Echo), he admitted that the French star would tough to hang on to come the summer.

Genesio said, after making a joke about the player’s happiness, that “We’ll see at the end of the season, it could be hard to keep him but we’ll see.” Lacazette had made quite a name for himself two seasons back.

At the time, he fended off interest and stayed put. He had a bit of a down year the following season, but his form this season has once again been superb. The 25 year old has 27 goals in 32 matches already this season, and it’s lead to speculation that he could be heading toward the Premier League.

Liverpool are thought to be one possible destination, but it’s tough to see where he’d fit in at the moment.

There’s no doubt that real quality is needed at Anfield, but would he get the run of matches and the patience that is required? Judgment might have to be reserved for much later on with this whole affair!
