West Ham United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign 19-year-old European forward Henry Onyekuru.
The Mirror have reported that West Ham, Chelsea and Arsenal have all indicated interest in the signature of the Nigerian youngster while Scottish giants Celtic had a £1 million bid rejected for the player during the January window.
Onyekuru has been impressive this season, having scored 12 goals from 26 League appearances this season. He has indicated that he will be leaving his Belgian club during the summer.
“Sure, I’m going to leave this summer. I have an agreement with the European club,” The young striker was quoted as saying by the Daily Record when questioned about his long-term future.
Onyekuru will naturally want to play for a bigger club in order to advance his career. Where he will move to in the end will ultimately come down to which club is prepared to offer him the best terms.
