Pontus Jansson has admitted that he was well aware that Leeds were a big club before he moved to the outfit during the summer.
When asked about his experiences playing for the club, Jansson told the Leeds United club’s website, “It’s a special feeling of course.
“It’s a big club, I knew before I came that it was a big club with a lot of people who follow it. It’s big in all of Scandinavia.”
The 26-year-old arrived at the Whites at the beginning of the season from Italian Serie A club Torino and has established himself as a key first team player within the squad, playing a crucial role in the bid to win promotion to the Premier League.
Gary Monk’s side claimed a vital 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday during the weekend to consolidate their position in the promotion playoffs. Leeds have won 19 out of the 34 matches they have played this season.
