Newcastle shot stopper Karl Darlow is eyeing international football with either the England or Wales national teams.
The 26-year-old has established himself as the Magpies first choice goalkeeper this season after some impressive performances, beating off competition from Matz Sels.
Darlow was called up to the Wales national team in 2013 for a match against Austra but opted not to accept the call-up as he was undecided about which country to play for. He is now hoping that his performances will earn him an international call up again in the future.
He told the Daily Mirror, “The main aim is international football. I have to keep going and if it happens it happens. I can take care of my own performances.”
At this stage, it remains to be seen which national team Darlow will play for, however with him having spent most of his life in England and previously rejected a call up from Wales, the chances are likely that he would prefer England.
