Everton target reveals he wants Manchester United move

Everton have been dealt a blow in the race to sign Franck Kessie after the player himself declared his determination to join Manchester United.

The Guardian reported that Atalanta had rejected a £15 million bid from Everton for Kessie last month but the Italian side did not wish to sell at the time.

Everton will likely continue monitoring the situation; however it now appears that Kessie would prefer Manchester United which is a big blow for the Merseyside club.

Kessie said, “I like the Premier League and in particular Manchester United, the club I dream of playing for.”Chelsea? That is also a big club, nobody would turn them down, but I dream of United.”

To make matters worse for Everton, Kessie is also reportedly on Manchester United’s priority list of possible signings.

United will look to add a world class midfielder with Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger expected to leave at the end of the season. In all probability, Everton will not sign Kessie.
