One day on from sealing a fresh four year contract with Liverpool, central midfielder Adam Lallana has taken the time to thank his fans on Instagram. Lallana’s new deal will see him remaining at club for an additional four seasons, reportedly, and has seen him get quite a raise as well.
The England international has been much improved under Jurgen Klopp after failing to impress under previous manager Brendan Rodgers. His best form has actually came in a central midfield role in which he’s effectively controlled the tempo of match for his side.
In his message to his fans, he thanks everyone for welcoming into his ‘home.’ He then says “it’s on me to repay that (support) where it matters most.” Lallana is a great teammate and, apparently also a great guy that wants to do well.
Liverpool have been very smart with this move. Even if they did choose to sell him now, they can hold out for a much better price. But, it’s probably not going to happen. Lallana and Liverpool are just a good fit, and that’s not likely to change for some time now.
