Winger admits he is set for Everton exit

Aiden McGeady seems to have indicated that he does not have a future at Everton after stating that he is not part of manager Ronald Koeman’s plans.

After failing to win a place in the match-day squads of the Merseyside clubs first three games this season, the 30-year-old opted to join Championship club Preston North End on loan.

He has since established himself as a regular in Simon Grayson’s side. McGeady however admitted that he does not see himself as an Everton player in future “It’s at the back of my mind,” he told the Lancashire Evening Post.

“I’ve still got another year at Everton but I think it is quite clear that I’m not part of the manager’s plans there. I will see how it goes until the end of the season and see what happens in the summer.”

Since joining signing for Everton in 2014, McGeady scored one goal from 43 games in all competitions and added several assists.
