Leicester City have had a real stinker of a season for far, but one man in particular has impressed for the Foxes. And according to the Daily Mail, standout performer Demarai Gray is being tracked by Liverpool with a view toward a permanent move in the summer.
Gray came to Leicester last winter and was mainly used as sub as they went on to win the title. This season, he’s been the only impressive part of their squad to date. The 20 year is very quick, good on the dribble, and he’s a hard worker as well.
Gray certainly fits the profile for manager Jurgen Klopp, and he’d be a great signing to finally give Liverpool more options on the wings. The only frustrating part is that Liverpool should be signing players like this first.
After his time at Birmingham City, the Reds should have made their move to beat Leicester. Now any deal will likely come with large mark up, even in the Foxes face the drop. The deal may or may not get done, but it seems very plausible.
