Boost for Leeds United as top target eyeing England move

Leeds United have received a transfer boost after a reported target of Gary Monk, ADO Den Haag defender Tom Beugelsdijk, told Dutch media outlet Voetbalzone that he is open to playing in England.

The defender reportedly told the source that he is at a stage of his career where he needs to find security and if a good offer comes around, he will be open to it.

ZeljkoPetrovic who has since quit as manager of ADO Den Haag did confirm that Leeds were interested in Beugelsdijk and that the club were keen on retaining his services. However with the club now facing internal problems, Beugelsdijk will certainly be looking for greener pastures.

He said, “The only goal I have now is to bring peace and security as soon as possible. It may be that I’m playing here for seven years or perhaps in great competition like England. It depends on what comes my way.” There is definitely a good chance that Leeds will sign the player.
