Former Everton star Tim Cahill has congratulated Romelu Lukaku on Twitter after the Belgian overtook him as the second highest Premier League top scorer for the club.
The Australian congratulated the Lukaku on Twitter. Lukaku then responded thanking Cahill for his message. Lukaku has netted 16 goals so far this season and has played a crucial role in helping Everton display impressive form this season under Roland Koeman.
Lukaku has been in impressive form this season for Everton and also scored four goals on Saturday as his team thrashed Bournemouth 6-3.

The goal marked Lukaku’s 78th goal in all competitions for the Toffee’s and also his 78th goal in the Premier League, with the goals having been scored for the Toffees as well as his former club West Brom.
As Cahill is a former fan favorite and one who will bring back good memories to Everton faithful, this was definitely a touching gesture and showed his humility.
