Aston Villa flop states his ambition at new club

Ross McCormack who failed to establish himself as a regular with Aston Villa, is hoping to rediscover his touch with Nottingham Forest. He told the Nottingham Post, “I feel I’m in a good place now to come here and really make a positive impact.”

The forward cost Villa £12 million and was expected to deliver, however he only netted three goals from 20 appearances with Steve Bruce questioning his attitude.

The 30-year-old has vast Championship experience having previously turned out for Fulham, Cardiff City and Leeds United. He is also a proven goal scorer which is the reason Villa forked out a large sum of money to lure him from Fulham.

In recent weeks, he has refuted many of the negative allegations made against him which included the rumor that he missed training because of broken gates at his house.

It is unlikely that McCormack will return to Villa as he is seemingly now not part of Steve Bruce’s plans. However it will be interesting to see if he can rediscover his touch with Forest.
