Struggling Premier League club Sunderland are apparently plotting a £10 million offer for Celtic star Kieran Tierney ahead of the transfer deadline day as they attempt to avoid relegation, according to the Express.
The 19-year-old left back has played a crucial role for his club as they have broken the 50 year old record of 26 domestic games unbeaten which was previously held by Lisbon Lions. Sunderland and Crystal Palace are the two clubs that were reported to have sent senior scouts over to Parkhead on Sunday to monitor Tierney.
It is likely that the Black Cats will be more intent on signing the player though with Patrick Van Aanholt expected to leave the club and transfer to Crystal Palace for £14 million.
Tierney is an exciting prospect however it remains likely that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will not listen to any offers until the end of the season. In the summer, he may leave for England.
