Stoke City chief executive Tony Scholes has taken the time to speak with TalkSport (according to Gazette Live) about the future of striker Bojan Krkic. Krkic has started only one time since November, and Stoke have just signed a new striker in Saido Berahino to further add to his plight.
Bojan has been linked to Aitor Karanka’s Middlesbrough side for some time now, and it’s rumored that he is eager to join him there. Speaking about the situation, Scholes said that he’d love to keep Bojan at the club, but realized that “he wants to be playing every week.”
For whatever reason, Bojan just hasn’t worked out very well at Stoke. Initially, it would have maybe been thought that the style of play wouldn’t fit well together. But Stoke have changed their style quite drastically over the years, so it isn’t that.
The best thing for all parties here would be to have the player’s valuation met. Bojan needs a change of scenery, Stoke could do with the money, and the side that gets Bojan will likely be getting a reenergized striker that is keen to take his next chance by the horns.
