Stoke City’s Weekend Ahead is Crucial

Without a match in the FA Cup this weekend, Stoke City find themselves with a rare weekend without a match.  After being knocked out by Wolves in a very unimpressive match, they are now looking to focus on the Premier League action to come.

On Tuesday, they will host Everton before they turn around and travel to the Midlands to face West Brom on the following Saturday.  With extra time to be had training, Mark Hughes will hope to find a way past both sides.

The hope is that Saido Berahino will continue to grow in fitness in this period, and that he will be ready to play some type of role in these two matches.  It’s hoped that he will be able to form a little-big partnership with Peter Crouch, and we might actually get to see it unveiled at West Brom in his return match.

With little left to play for but points, Stoke can start to turn an eye on next season’s plans.  Hughes can start to evaluate his side and determine what needs to be changed in order to press on further next term.
