Official: Liverpool agree a deal for 22-year-old attacker

According to Hull City Football Club’s official website, the Tigers have officially signed Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic on a loan deal for the remainder of the season. Markovic, just 22, has a ton of potential that has gone untapped so far at Liverpool.

When given the chance under Brendan Rodgers some time back, he occasionally impressed. But it wasn’t enough to turn Jurgen Klopp’s head, so he was sent on loan to Sporting Lisbon at the beginning of this current season.

That deal didn’t work out for him, either. So now, it’s almost a last chance of sorts for Markovic. But don’t give up hope just yet. Victor Moses was in a fairly similar position for years, and he’s been a revelation for Chelsea this season.

Markovic will have a chance to impress in the Premier League, and he should see plenty of time under a much more progressive manager in Marco Silva than many in the bottom tier of the league.

This is really a no-harm type of move, and Liverpool will hope it leads to him playing well enough to be sold or brought back as a useful member of the squad.
