Aston Villa close to completing two signings- reports

Aston Villa look set to complete a couple of deals in the coming days. Firstly, BBC has claimed that Aston Villa expect to finalize a deal for Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury by Friday.

Aston Villa have been involved in the pursuit of the 26-year-old throughout the month, and manager Steve Bruce has publicly spoken of his interest in the player.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly already turned away a £2.5m bid from Derby County for their skipper, who has only six months left on his contract.

According to the BBC report, Aston Villa have now made a bid in the region of £3.5m, and it has been deemed sufficient by Nottingham Forest.

Meanwhile, according to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are also close to finalize a deal for Barnsley skipper Conor Hourihane. Daily Mail claims that Aston Villa have had a £1m bid accepted for the 25-year-old, who also has six months left on his contract. The Irish midfielder is set to undergo a medical at Villa Park ahead of finalizing his move to the Midlands club.
