According to the Daily Mail, both Liverpool and Chelsea, among other sides, are looking to sign Genk forward Leon Bailey. Bailey, just 19 years old, has impressed from the wing during his performances at the Belgian club this season, scoring the majority of his goals in Europa League matches.
As a result, he is said to have caught the eyes of Jurgen Klopp and Antonio Conte, who both appreciate wing players that can get up and down in both defence and attack.
The likelihood of Bailey leaving is very high. He’s going to leave, and the question has to be to where. It’s said that both sides want to beat the interest for him in the summer, so this could come down to who is in pole position at the moment.
Liverpool would be a good fit, but it’s very unlikely that Klopp makes any moves. So, if Bailey is to move to the Premier League, it’s most likely going to be to Chelsea. Expect then for him to be loaned back for the remainder of the season, should it happen.
