Atletico Madrid star player, Antonie Griezmann, has been attracting interest from top clubs in Europe after his stunning Euro display. According to Sky Sports, Manchester United is the new club to show interest, and might be interested to sign the Frenchman should he become available this summer.
However, the Atletico Madrid striker will not be seen as a potential target for the Red Devils this transfer window.
Back in November, Griezmann said he is not looking for a new club in the near future, but he also said he wants to play club football with Manchester United’s record signing Paul Pogba.
It is understandable that the main reason Manchester United are keen on signing the player is his age and potential. Griezmann seems to be the perfect fit for the current young team that Jose Mourinho is building.
The summer transfer seems likely, because the French striker has not been offered a new deal yet and his contract is expiring pretty soon. However, the transfer would only happen if Atletico fails to get the player a contract extension.
