After accepting defeat in their pursuit to keep midfielder Dimitri Payet at the club, West Ham have already started planning for their future. A report from the Daily Mirror claims that the Hammers have made a £15million offer for Burnley star Andre Gray.
The 25-year-old was embroiled in a controversy related to his homophobic tweets earlier in the season and subsequently served a ban from the FA.
However, he has returned to form in recent games and has scored four goals in his last four league appearances for the Clarets.
The report also claims that the Clarets value their player highly and are expected to reject the offer.
The same report also claims that the Hammers are pursuing a £8m move for Ajax defender Joel Veltman.
The Dutch international is a versatile defender and can play either as a right-back or a centre-half. The 24-year-old, who has won two Eredivisie titles, has only 18 months left on his current deal.
