According to sources close the Guardian, Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is willing to let Bojan Krkic leave in order to generate more funds for the rest of his side.  Bojan, just 27, has failed to impress and is the subject of a proposed £8m move from Middlesbrough.

Bojan, once a product of Barcelona, was thought to have been the kind of player to really take Stoke to the next level.  However, Stoke have gone there largely on the back of a solid team that has been improved, not on the work of Bojan.

Joe Allan has done far more in six months at the club than Bojan has in his entire spell, and despite what Hughes has told the media, the Guardian believes he’s keen to see the Spaniard leave.

Hughes is in a good position here.  The funds are absolutely necessary for him right now.  He needs to get rid of someone that isn’t wanting to stay and fight.  As rumored, he can use the funds to ensure that he signs Saido Berahino and ends that sage once and for all.  We can all hope!
