This Saturday, January 14, 2017 (5:00 PM Pacific) Atlas will host Tigres UANL at the Estadio Jalisco in a Week 2 match of the Liga MX Clausura 2017. Although a match between two strong sides, Tigres are heavy favorites to win as the reigning champions even though the teams have tied their last two encounters.

The ‘Rojinegros’ are coming off a tough Week 1 loss in which they succumed 4-1 to a remodeled Toluca F.C. The only goal Atlas achieved was not even a merit of their own players as it was an own goal by Toluca’s captain, Paulo Da Silva. Atlas do have an outside chance of making the playoffs this season as they have reinforced their team heavily with the signings of Matias Alustiza and Fidel Martinez. It has been yet to be seen if the signings will make a difference for the ‘Zorros’.
The current champions are not coming from the best result as they drew 0-0 against Santos Laguna at home. Tigres, however did not have a lot of their key players like Andre-Pierre Gignac and Ismael Sosa. The felines will count with all their key players during Week 2 and that should facilitate the visitors to ensure a win past Atlas.
