According to the Gazette Live, Mark Hughes had little good to say about Spanish striker Bojan Krkic after his performance in their FA Cup loss to Wolves this past weekend.
Nor the rest of his teammates. Krkic and teammate Gianni Imbula were replaced at half time as Stoke sought to change the tide of the match.
That wouldn’t occur, and it’s left Stoke a little humbled as they’ve been knocked out after hoping they would have a nice run in the cup.
As for Bojan, the Stoke manager says he still has a place for him in his side. He pointed out that he’d be getting more chances with players gone for the Africa Cup of Nations.
However, this just seems like a smokescreen to help them get more money, or attempt to do so.
Krkic is clearly not happy at Stoke, and he’s clearly not the player most of us thought he was. A move to anywhere would probably be good for both sides. Expect this story to play out over the course of January.
