Promotion-hopefuls Leeds Utd are planning as many as three signings in the January transfer window.
@TomHuffinley @tombanksUK @AdrianTeakdesk would like Fletcher. Want a winger. Maybe a young CB as cover.
— Phil Hay (@PhilHayYEP) January 5, 2017
The claim above has been made by Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay on his official Twitter account.
Hay also thinks that West Ham striker Ashley Fletcher is a top target for Whites manager Gary Monk this month.
The 21-year-old, who joined the Hammers from Man Utd during summer, has managed only two league starts this season.
The Hammers are themselves on the lookout for a striker and could contemplate selling Fletcher if they manage to acquire a proven goalscorer in the market.
However, any possible deal for Fletcher seems unlikely before the arrival of a new forward at London Stadium. According to Hay, Monk also wants to sign a winger and a young centre-back in the transfer market.
Any centre-back signing is likely to serve as a cover for the likes of Kyle Bartley, Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson.
