BBC Sport reports that rumored long-time Everton target Ademola Lookman is nearing the completion of an £11m move from League One side Charlton Athletic.
Lookman, only 19 years old, is thought to be someone that can come in and immediately making an impact on the blue side of Merseyside. He’s long been a priority for the Director of Football Steve Walsh.
Manager Ronald Koeman will be happy to see such a young player with potential come in to his Everton side, who increasingly look older and older in certain areas of the field. Lookman, a forward player, has scored seven times in League One this season, and Koeman will be hoping that he can convert that kind of form to the Premier League. He has a pace and power, as most learn to play with in the lower leagues.
This move seems very likely to happen at this point. He looks like the classic Koeman type of signing. The only wonder is if the fee is going to potentially put him under pressure. If he can help take some pressure off of Lukaku immediately, he’ll be a savior for that club.
