Report: Manchester United striker set to join Premier League side permanently

Manchester United striker Will Keane is expected to complete his permanent move to Hull City before the end of the transfer window, according to Manchester Evening News reporter Stuart Mathieson.

Mathieson claims the deal is yet to be completed, but will still go ahead before Wednesday’s 11pm deadline.

The 23-year-old striker spent the first half of last season on loan at Championship side Preston North End, where he scored 2 goals in 22 appearances, but now looks set to leave Old Trafford permanently.

Hull City would be a fantastic move for Keane. Mike Phelan, who’s currently the Tigers’ caretaker manager, knows the striker very well from their time together at Old Trafford.

Phelan is likely to be appointed as permanent manager at the KCOM Stadium, which would be great news for Keane as he’d get a chance to impress in the Premier League.

Keane desperately needs first-team football and even though he probably wouldn’t be a regular starter at Hull City, he’d still get enough opportunities to play.

He needs to leave Old Trafford in order to further his career as he’s already 23 years old and it’d be pointless to spend more time in the under-21 team.
