Dropping a massive hint about his proposed move to Chelsea, Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi has confirmed that he will leave the Ligue 1 club Marseille this summer, reports BBC.
Various reports have suggested that the Belgian striker will complete his £22m move to Chelsea in the coming weeks.
His signing will be the first major acquisition of the Antonio Conte at the Stamford Bridge.
Batshuayi enjoyed a brilliant season with Marseille in the Ligue 1 last season, scoring 17 and assisting 9 goals for his team mates.
Therefore, his arrival would give Chelsea a much-needed impetus before the start of next season. Before being linked with Chelsea, there were reports that Crystal palace have agreed a fee with Marseille for the striker.
However, buoyed by his performances for Belgium in Euro 2016 – where Batshuayi managed a goal, Chelsea could decide to trigger the release clause in his contract. The arrival of Batshuayi could mean trouble to the likes of Spanish striker Diego Costa at Chelsea.
Despite being the top scorer for Chelsea in the last 2 seasons, the Spaniard has reportedly grown frustrated of his treatment by the English press.
Therefore, a move back to his former side Atletico Madrid could be on the cards for Costa after the acquisition of Batshuayi by Chelsea.
