Manchester United is reportedly interested in purchasing key Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey, according to The Sun. A transfer for Ramsey would be expected to cost Manchester United around £50 million.
Ramsey has been an extremely productive midfielder for Arsenal in recent years, and it would be a major loss if he were to be sold this summer.
Ramsey has scored 21 goals with 18 assists in Premier League matches over the past 3 seasons, which is very good production for a box-to-box midfielder.
In addition to his offensive contribution, Ramsey also is known for his defensive contribution. He averaged 2.5 tackles per game and 1.8 interceptions per game in the Premier League last season.
Ramsey would be a major loss for Arsenal, and players such as Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin, and Mohamed Elneny would be forced to step up in his absence. The addition of Granit Xhaka would also help diminish the blow of losing Ramsey.
A Ramsey transfer to Manchester United does seem like a realistic possibility because Arsenal would likely be willing to sell Ramsey for the right price.
However, Manchester United has other midfield targets, and a Ramsey move to Old Trafford is far from a sure thing.
