As Liverpool Echo reports, Liverpool joined the race to sign Real Madrid’s youngster Martin Odegaard.

The 17-year-old former Stromsgodset player is regarded as one of the biggest football talents in the world. He is currently a member of the Real Madrid B squad, and he scored 2 goals in 45 appearances so far. Also, he made his first-team squad debut, but that was his only appearance.

It seems like the Reds are interested in bringing Odegaard to Anfield, and a positive thing is that he stated he’s a big Liverpool fan. Also, Jurgen Klopp is well-known as a manager who likes working with young players, so there is no doubt Odegaard would be on a good path towards fulfilling his potential under his guidance.

However, while this is all true, Real Madrid isn’t a type of club you leave so easy, so Liverpool folks have to be very persuasive and do their best in order to bring Odegaard. Whichever way things turn out, he is going to play for one of the clubs with richest history in Europe.
