As the Mirror reports, Martin Skrtel could be set to sign for Italian side AS Roma after he returns from his international duty.
Emanuele Giulianelli, a reporter who writes for Italian Gazetta Dello Sport (among others) posted a tweet about Martin Skrtel’s departure from Anfield.
Roma have reached an agreement for Skrtel. 3 years contract for the Slovak former Liverpool defender.

According to the press, Skrtel is going to tie himself to Roma for the next 3 years by contract. The former Zenit defender came to Liverpool 8 years ago, and since then he has made 319 appearances and score 18 goals for the Reds.
However, Skrtel wasn’t a very reliable player during his time at Anfield, so we shouldn’t be very surprised by his departure, despite the fact that he is currently one of the longest-serving players at the club.
Skrtel is surely going to stay in the hearts of Liverpool fans, and Liverpool is always going to be very big part of his career. The fact is, he now must continue his career elsewhere and I’m sure he’s going to do it like a real professional.
