According to the English Express, Liverpool could be interested in signing Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko.
The twenty-six-year-old midfielder made it clear, however, that he would much more prefer a transfer to Arsenal, which was also mentioned as an interested side.
When asked about his Arsenal link, he said: “It is very flattering. Arsenal is one of the best European teams.”
Although his team didn’t manage to survive in the English Premier League, Sissoko had a few impressive performances, and his season was pretty good overall. Perhaps, this is the main reason why some of the biggest clubs in England are interested in securing his services.
There are some reports suggesting Newcastle already has an offer of £9.5m for this player, from German club Hamburger SV.
However, according to some sources from Sunderland Echo, Rafa Benitez is willing to discuss his departure from Newcastle, but his exit won’t be cheap. If Liverpool or any other club wants to sign him, his price is not going to be less than £20m.
Honestly, that’s a lot of money, and we yet need to see if the Reds are going to break the bank for the French box-to-box midfielder.
