As International Business Times reports, Liverpool could be missing out on another goalkeeper. This time, it’s Geronimo Rulli.

The twenty-two year old has been sparking interest of Liverpool, Roma and Manchester City lately, according to Voz Populi. According to the same source, he even had a meeting with the Roma club in order to sign a five-year-deal.

However, Mundo Deportivo soon after that reported that Real Sociedad has signed the twenty-two-year-old goalkeeper to a six-year-deal. But wait, things aren’t so simple. There is a release clause of £28m in his contract, and if any club (including Liverpool) tries to sign him by offering that much money, Manchester City is going to have an option to buy him for somewhere around £10m.

This is all due to an agreement between Manchester City and an investment fund which owns one part of Rulli’s contract.

I know it’s all very confusing, but the bottom line is: Liverpool may have wanted Rulli.  Liverpool surely doesn’t want Rulli anymore.
