According to Goal, Liverpool could be hitting a barrier in their intentions to sign Borussia Monchengladbach’s midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud.
After already losing Granit Xhaka to Arsenal, the German team isn’t so keen on selling their potentially best player. The twenty-year-old player started his career in Borussia Monchengladbach, and during the 2015/16 season, he managed to score 5 goals in a total of 44 appearances (he appeared for his club in the German Bundesliga 32 times).
Dahoud has been sparking Liverpool’s interest for the past few weeks, and we already know Jurgen Klopp likes having young player in his squad. The Merseyside club already has a very young team, but that certainly doesn’t mean they couldn’t add one or two more youngsters.
However, the German team would like to keep Dahoud one more season, and this could prove to be a potential problem in this transfer saga. With Liverpool’s Joe Allen on the verge of exiting Anfield, they need to find a replacement. Maybe Dahoud is just the guy Reds need.
