Manchester United want to sign Bordeaux’s Adam Ounas and have already contacted his representatives, according to the Daily Mirror.
19-year-old Ounas, who scored 6 goals in 28 appearances for Bordeaux last season, is understood to be seen by United as a potential star.
Ounas is very versatile, which could be handy for United, as the team needs more attacking options. He’s most comfortable as an attacking midfielder, but can also play on either wing.
Even though the player is contracted with Bordeaux until 2019, United shouldn’t have much difficulty in convincing the French club to sell, as it’s not really a club famous for placing ridiculous price tags on its prized assets.
United couldn’t realistically expect Ounas to make an impact similar to the one Martial’s had since his deadline day move from Monaco last summer, but no one can really predict how well and fast a player would adapt to a new league.
Signing Ounas would be a smart, low-risk move and it wouldn’t be surprising at all as United have a justified reputation of going after the best young players in the world.
