The championship second-leg Ascenso MX final match between Necaxa and Mineros de Zacatecas will be played this Saturday, May 7, 2016 (6:00 PM Pacific) at the Estadio Victoria in Aguascalientes. The winner of this Clausura 2016 final will face Juarez FC for the Liga MX promotion playoff.

Necaxa is very close to earning their fourth Ascenso MX title as they have already won them at the Clausura 2009, Bicentenario 2010, and Apertura 2014. The team coached by Alfonso Sosa is highly favored to win the title against Mineros as they have been the better team throughout the season, because they play at home to close the final, and because they have a 2-0 advantage. While everything points to their favor, the ‘rayos’ must be careful as Mineros will attack from the first minute.

Mineros de Zacatecas performed fairly last Wednesday in their first-leg loss, yet Necaxa played an almost perfect match. This Saturday, the team coached by Ricardo Rayas will try to imitate what their rivals did in order to obtain a win by at least two goals. While Mineros will have a tremendously difficult mission to accomplish, it is important to notice that the first-leg loss was their first loss under coach Rayas. Therefore expect the team from Zacatecas to create of this match a highly competitive encounter.
