With Manchester United having back to back fixtures, Louis Van Gaal admits he will need to rotate the players. The Red Devils play consecutive EPL games, as well as the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace also later this month.
Van Gaal has a fully fit squad, but says that the team will face fatigue issues rather fitness. “We have to assess the tiredness of the players because there’s an overload of matches, so maybe I have to rotate,” said the Dutchman. Van Gaal continued that in the Premier League, teams have to play more matches than in Spain and in Germany which is the main cause of concern as it leads to more injuries.
Louis Van Gaal insisted that his team needs to fight until the end to reach a Champions League spot and also they need to make sure that the players get sufficient rest with FA Cup Final to be played in addition to remaining league games. Reduction in injury has helped United to perform better in recent games, said Van Gaal, who highlighted the importance of players being fit at the crucial time of the season.
