As has been the case for many times this season, it was the newcomer Anthony Martial who justified the expectations of the Manchester United faithful with a late goal.
While the Red Devils were in a commanding position throughout the game, a Chris Smalling own goal pegged them back in the game. Everton had some chances to deflect the game on their side, but their rueful performance in front of the goal allowed the Red Devils to go home in a happy mode.
