Liverpool Strongest Lineup vs Everton: 4-2-3-1 with Origi to replace Sturridge

Despite making a whole host of changes to the starting 11, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool kept momentum going with a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth.

Most of the players who played against Borussia Dortmund were given a day off on Sunday but they should all be back for the all important Merseyside Derby against Everton on Wednesday.

Goalkeeper

Simon Mignolet took a back seat to the debuting Danny Ward on Sunday but he should be back to deal with the more dangerous Everton attack. The Belgian should be feeling a bit of pressure after Ward’s strong debut, Klopp can really choose between two ‘keepers now.

Right-Back

Nathaniel Clyne finally missed a match but there is no doubt that he will suit up once again on Wednesday. Clyne should be able to handle any of the wingers Martinez can throw at him.

Center-Backs

The first-choice pair of Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho should make their return against Everton. It is up to the two of them to try and find a way to cope with the physicality of Romelu Lukaku.

Left-Back

Alberto Moreno will be challenged by Gerard Deulofeu but the Liverpool defender should be more than up to the task.

Defensive Midfield

With Jordan Henderson and Emre Can out for the foreseeable, Joe Allen and James Milner are the best pair Klopp can select. The two British players are the most balanced of the midfielders left and both should be able to control the center of the pitch against a tough Everton midfield.

Attacking Midfield

Klopp will probably go with the full strength attacking lineup of Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho. While they don’t possess the pace of either Jordon Ibe or Sheyi Ojo, the three players are still the most creative players on Liverpool’s squad.

Forward

Klopp cannot go wrong with either one of Divock Origi or Daniel Sturridge but the Belgian is slightly more well rested so he may be the more sensible choice for the derby. The Reds’ attack has been on fire in recent matches so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Origi grab a goal or two.
