Liverpool ready to sign former Real Madrid star for just £6million

Liverpool are planning to solve their goalkeeping predicament with the signing of Antonio Adan from Real Betis, according to reports from AS (as cited by the Metro)

While Liverpool did show a great gesture of faith by handing goalkeeper Simon Mignolet a brand new contract, the Belgian international has failed to convince many following a host of shaky performances this season and the supporters are urging manager Jurgen Klopp to bring in a new custodian next season.

German international Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been widely linked with a move to Liverpool over the past few months but the transfer is unlikely to happen as Barcelona most certainly will not be looking to part with their young goalkeeper.

Adan wanted by Liverpool

As a result, it is believed that Klopp is scouring the market in search of other targets and now according to reports from AS, it has been claimed that the 48-year old is weighing up a move for Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan.

Adan has been one of the top performing goalkeepers in La Liga this season and a recent revelation that his release clause is only £6.2million, has alerted a host of top clubs.

Reports emerging out of Spain claim that Liverpool are one of the sides seriously interested in signing Adan and are set to make a move for the 28-year old during the upcoming summer transfer window next season.
