Guatemala came up with a huge win that puts them one point away from reaching the final round of the CONCACAF qualifiers. Pescadito Ruiz scored late in the game to give Guatemala the 2-1 win over Jamaica. Guatemala now has 10 points and is tied with the US in first place of Group A. A win or draw against the US on Tuesday will be necessary to assure a spot in the final hexagonal. Otherwise, Guatemala will have to wait and see by how many goals Jamaica defeats Antigua & Barbuda and hope it’s not by much.
