Strongest Possible Everton Lineup vs Bournemouth: 4-3-2-1 with Mirallas to start

Coming off one of the best games of the season, a 4-0 shelling of Aston Villa, Everton face a trip to Bournemouth over the weekend. Bournemouth are currently sitting 19th in the table and have not been the same since they lost goal scorer Callum Wilson to a knee injury back in September.

Everton are continuing through there relatively easy schedule and have had some good form as of late and are sitting 7th in the table. The Toffees have scored eleven goals in their last three game will look to continue that this weekend. Anything less than three points will likely be seen as a letdown for Everton fans.

Goalkeeper

Tim Howard got a much need clean sheet last week and should continue his reign in goal ahead of Joel Robles.

Right Back

Good news for the team depth is that long time Evertonian Tony Hibbert is nearly back to match fitness. That said, Seamus Coleman will be fielded here plain and simple.

Center Backs

With Phil Jagielka still recovering from injury, we will once again see John Stones and Ramiro Funes Mori partner up at the back for Everton.

Left Back

Martinez has fueled speculation of Leighton Baines being played in the midfield after fielding the left back there in the under-21 side this week. I’m not sure that this will translate into the first team and I’m still going to select the Englishman at the left back position for Everton. This means that Brendan Galloway will likely have to watch from the bench if Baines is fully fit.

Defensive Midfield

Another player that was given a run out with the under-21 side was Mo Besic. While he looked good for the side, he probably won’t be rushed back to action, which will allow the James McCarthy/Gareth Barry partnership to continue.

Right Wing

Gerard Deulofeu should continue his role on the right for Everton. The main other option here would be Aaron Lennon, but it would appear the Spaniard’s recent form has won him the job over Lennon for the time being.

Left Wing

Again this is the position that has most options for Everton. The first option is natural winger Kevin Mirallas. Mirallas has been used only as a sub in recent games after been passed over for current favorite Arouna Kone.

The third option available for Everton is Tom Cleverley, who is fully fit and looking for an opportunity to cement himself back into the starting lineup. I think this position comes down to Mirallas and Kone right now. Again, I’m going to select Mirallas because I’m concerned that a team will exploit the lack of width that Kone leaves on the left side of the field.

Central Attacking Midfield

Ross Barkley shined for the Everton against Villa scoring two goals and assisting a third. The English midfielder is not going to be unseated for this one.

Forward

Another player getting on the scoreboard last time out for Everton was Romelu Lukaku. The big Belgian scored the teams other to goals and will look to keep the goals coming in this one.
