Manchester United have moved closer in their pursuit of Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben, according to reports from Fichajes (as cited by the Daily Mirror)
Manchester United are sure to be pursuing a new attacking player during the January transfer window and in recent times, it has emerged that the Red Devils are considering making a move for Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben.
United closer to signing Robben
Robben is said to be keen on leaving Bayern following reported fallout with teammate Robert Lewandowski recently and a move to United had been seen as a huge possibility for the Dutchman due to the presence of compatriot Louis van Gaal.
Now in further developments to the story, it has been claimed by Fichajes that United have made progress in their pursuit of signing Robben and a transfer coming into fruition during the January transfer window is a real possibility.

Robben is contracted at Bayern till 2017 but given the fact that he is 31-years old, United are unlikely to be paying over the odds in terms of transfer fee. That said United will have to match or even better Robben’s current wage package at Bayern which stands at around €160,000-per week.
