Manchester United are in no rush to offer Marouane Fellaini a new contract, according to reports from Goal.com
Fellaini arrived at Manchester United on a whopping £28million deal in the summer of the 2013/14 season but the Belgian midfielder has proven to be a huge disappointment during his time at Old Trafford so far.
Fellaini endured a difficult debut campaign at United and while his fortunes did seem to improve last season under Louis van Gaal, the midfielder has once again struggled for regular minutes on the pitch this term.
Given that Fellaini provides United a completely different dimension to their game, van Gaal is open to keeping hold of the 27-year old but the Belgian looks set to be no more than a peripheral figure at Old Trafford, which is certainly not a good return on the £28million investment.

Now according to reports from Goal.com, Fellaini is keen on extending his contract at United which expires in 2018 despite being used merely as a squad player. However, United are not looking to oblige.
The reports go on to explain that United are hopeful that Fellaini enjoys a positive season as well as a good performance for the Belgian national team at the 2016 European Championships in France, before offloading him for a reasonable price next summer.
