Loic Remy, who is currently on loan at Newcastle, is being watched closely by Arsene Wenger and Arsenal according to Le 10 Sport. Remy’s parent club, Queens Park Rangers, were relegated last season and he is almost certainly not going to return when his loan expires.
Remy, who has been in terrific form for the Magpies (13 goals & 2 Assists this season), is being eyed by Arsenal. Arsenal are in desperate need to bolster that attack force and the 27 year old French striker may be the man.
Remy is currently tied for fourth in the English Premier League in goals scored with thirteen. Remy may be a good signing for Arsenal in that he has the ability to play alone up top and has the passing and footwork for the style that Arsenal love to play.
Newcastle United for the last couple of months have tried to get his loan deal to be made permanent, but that probably looks unlikely as long as Remy continues to score and shine for a Newcastle side.
Arsenal’s main man, Olivier Giroud, started the season in fantastic form, but has recently slowed down as he has been asked to play time after time and it seems fatigue is hitting him. Arsenal have depth in the backline and loads of midfielders, but the question all along has been the depth or lack thereof of Arsenal.
If Arsenal are looking to sign Remy, they will probably have to splash the cash as long as Remy keeps scoring. Arsenal are looking to add depth at the striker position and Remy could be a good signing going forward as he has shown he can score in the EPL.
