Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has given Pep Guardiola the go-ahead to train with his side at Loftus Road ahead of Wednesday’s mouth-watering clash against Arsenal at the Emirates. The West London stadium has many a times paid homage to elite football sides, as Manchester United, Barcelona and Brazil have all used the stadium to prepare for clashes in the English capital.

Redknap- who was in charge of Arsenal’s bitter North London rivals Tottenham- recorded only four wins over the Gunners in his four year tenure as Spurs manager.

If a post by Sportsmail is anything to go by, the World and European champions Bayern Munich will have a light training session at the QPR Stadium on the morning of the Champions League tie. Bayern, who will use the club’s facilities, will have a behind-closed doors training session that will last no longer than an hour.

After a 5-0 thrashing of Hamburg in a mid-week Bundesliga fixture, the reigning champions will face Freiburg on Saturday as they warm-up for their Champions League clash against Arsenal.

Arsenal, who will be facing Merseyside giants Liverpool for only the second time in two weeks, will be out for revenge and redemption after a 5-1 romp to victory by Liverpool last Saturday. Wenger will be hoping for a win in the FA Cup tie to keep their title chances alive even as they prepare to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
