The Necaxa vs Queretaro Liga MX match will be broadcast live online and on TV as Los Rayos host Los Gallos Blancos at the Estadio Victoria this Friday, March 11, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific.
This game in the 10th round of matches of the Liga MX 2022 Clausura season will be played behind closed doors due to the violence witnessed in the Queretaro vs Atlas game last weekend.
Necaxa has been struggling this season, currently in 13th place with eight points, coming off a 1-0 loss to Toluca at home. The team from Aguascalientes is winless since Jaime Lozano has been on the sidelines as manager as this transitional phase with the former Mexico international has not been ideal.
Necaxa is tied for the 13th worst offense in the league with nine goals scored and is tied for the 15th worst defense with 14 goals allowed. Los Rayos seem to be trying to control possession in recent games, but have failed to establish a consistent style of play with Jaime Lozano.
Queretaro is coming off a game against Atlas that turned into a tragedy as a brawl in the stands between spectators turned disastrous. Los Gallos Blancos will play behind closed doors all season at home and there is the potential that other teams may follow Necaxa in not allowing spectators for Queretaro’s away games.
Queretaro is also not having a great season, currently in 14th place with eight points after the match against Atlas resulted in a 3-0 loss by default. Manager Hernan Cristante has the toughest job in the league as Queretaro will deal with a lot of hate and stigma by fans and the press going forward in the season.
