The Senegal vs Madagascar AFCON qualification match will be broadcast live online and on TV as The Lions of Teranga host Barea at Stade Lat Dior this Friday, March 22, at 4:00 PM Pacific.

Senegal is one of the strongest teams in Africa, currently topping Group A of the AFCON qualifiers, undefeated with 13 points. The Lions of Teranga are coming off a 1-0 away win against Equatorial Guinea, where Sidy Sarr scored the game-winner.

The West African side has a stacked roster with players like Sadio Mane of Liverpool, Keita Balde Diao of Inter Milan, Idrissa Gueye of Everton and Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli. On paper, Senegal should have the edge, but this could prove to be a tough game as Madagascar was able to get a 2-2 draw against Aliou Cisse’s team last time they faced off.

Madagascar has been great in the qualifiers so far, currently second in Group A with 10 points, but can no longer claim the first-place spot due to goal differential. The islanders would need to win by seven goals to topple Senegal.

The Bareas squad is comprised mostly of players that play in French lower leagues and some of the standouts include Paulin Voavy and Faneva Ima Andriatsima, who both have three goals in the qualifiers. French manager Nicolas Dupuis has done an outstanding job with the team and would add another accolade to his name if Madagascar can win.

Senegal vs Madagascar Prediction

FutnSoccer predicts a 2-1 win for Senegal as the home-field advantage should be the difference maker in what should be a very hard-fought match.
