Pumas UNAM has really been struggling this semester, currently in 14th place with just 10 points, on a three-game winless streak. Bruno Marioni had a hot start as the new manager for the Mexico City club, but has really fallen off, coming off a 2-2 draw against Monarcas Morelia.
Carlos Gonzalez is arguably Pumas’ best player and he has been in form recently with three goals scored in Los Felinos’ last three games. Los Universitarios have a strong attack led by Gonzalez and Juan Manuel Iturbe, but the backline can be highly inconsistent as it is very young and inexperienced.
