The final match in Week 15 of the Liga MX 2018 Apertura will be the clash between Atlas and Leon at the Estadio Jalisco. The match could potentially be a high-scoring bout and will be between two teams with plenty of history that have shared a number of players over the years, here are five.

Andres Andrade

Andrade is currently on loan at Atlas from Leon and has been a consistent starter for Los Zorros in this 2018 Apertura. The Colombian midfielder has two goals and two assists this season and has been one of the few bright spots in Los Rojinegros’ woeful campaign.

Franco Arizala

The Colombian forward was a key figure in Leon’s incredible back-to-back title run in the Apertura 2013 and Clausura 2014. Arizala was also solid for La Fiera in the Copa Libertadores and will not be a player the fans will forget. The 32-year-old also played with Atlas, Chiapas, Pachuca and Puebla in the Liga MX and now plays with Al-Arabi in Qatar.

Eisner Loboa

“El Lobo” was also part of Los Esmeraldas’ back-to-back title-run, but also achieved promotion with Leon from the Ascenso MX in 2012. Loboa was not anything special with Atlas in the 2015 Apertura and “El Mago” is now currently a free agent after a failed stint with America de Cali in his native Colombia.

Rafael Marquez

“El Kaiser” is Atlas’ greatest youth product and one of the greatest if not the greatest player to ever play for the club. Marquez is even in the discussion of greatest Mexican player ever because of his glory days with Barcelona and performances with the national team. The Michoacan native played with Leon towards the latter half of his career and was phenomenal as he was instrumental in La Fiera’s back-to-back title run and even earned a move back to Europe with Hellas Verona in Italy after his time with Leon. The 39-year-old ended his playing career with Atlas this year and now serves as the sporting director for the Guadalajara team.

Adalberto Lopez

“Dumbo” scored 201 goals in his illustrious career in the 1940’s and 50’s and is Leon’s all-time goalscorer with 136 goals. Lopez is still the record-holder for most goals by a Mexican-born player in a season with 36 in the 1947-1948 campaign. The Jalisco native won two league titles with Los Panzas Verdes and was also part of Atlas’ only league title in the 1950-1951 season.
