The Mexico vs Chile game will be broadcast live online and on TV as El Tri host El Rojo at the Estadio Corregidora this Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at 6:45 PM Pacific.
The Mexico national team is coming off a slim 3-2 win against Costa Rica at the Estadio Universitario in Nuevo Leon. Mexico called up a lot of players with not a lot of caps under their belt, but a couple of those players (Henry Martin and Victor Guzman) did score in that game against Los Ticos.
It is likely that the players that did not play against Costa Rica like Hugo Gonzalez, Nestor Araujo, Diego Reyes, Marco Fabian and Hirving Lozano will play against Chile. It will be interesting to see how “Chucky” Lozano does fare against this Chilean team if he does get the start along with his PSV teammate Erick Gutierrez.
Chile is coming off a disastrous 3-0 loss to Peru and will be looking to bounce back, but should be due for a tough match. Head coach Reinaldo Rueda will count with superstars Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal, but will also have some younger players on his squad.
There are six players on El Rojo from the Liga MX including 20-year-old Victor Davila of Necaxa and Igor Lichnovsky of Cruz Azul. There are also a few former Liga MX players with the likes of Nicolas Castillo of Benfica, Enzo Roco of Besiktas and Angelo Henriquez of Universidad de Chile.
Mexico vs Chile Prediction
This should be a hard-fought and intense matchup, it is unlikely that Chile will score seven goals this time around, FutnSoccer predicts a 2-1 win for Mexico.
